Grewar reunion
Peter writes:
It is now 190 years ago since our progenitor - David McKenzie Grewar - and his brother John arrived in 1817 on board one of the 3 ships (Brilliant, Garland and Clyde) in Cape Town. Seeing that we never had a national reunion before, I think its time to consider one.
I invite all Grewars in Southern Africa to join in the conversations and discussions. Anybody with ideas please let me know, and I will publish your ideas in our Grewar Newsletter.
If it suits the majority, we can have a national reunion in the central part of the Free State Province. Some folks already suggested that we must have it near Ficksburg, Clocolan or Tweespruit. The majority of Grewars are probably residing in the Gauteng Province, but people in other provinces are most welcome to make their own suggestions. We can have a national reunion every 10 years, and provincial gatherings every 2 or 5 years.
